Herbarium/EMU and Geology Workshop Extension for Kuwait University
One of several building on the Khaldiyah Campus that were designed by PACE. The building is a two floor Herbarium / Electro-Microscopic Unit (EMU). It is also a first floor extension of the existing geology workshop. The building is based on a simple design reminiscent of old Kuwaiti architecture. Building is clad with yellow brick on the exterior. Windows are recessed to limit amount of light entering the building. Walls are thick to provide proper insulation within the building.
