AAVS Pavilion Workshop

October 12, 2016

Earlier in August three colleagues from Pace – namely Rawan Kakish, Shaikha Al-Sahli and Hatem Diab – participated at the “Emergent Architecture” workshop and lecture series.

This new visiting school aims to bring together international and local students, academics and practising architects in programmes investigating contemporary methodologies for context-specific architectural design.

During their involvement they collaborated with students and other professionals in the creation of the first Architectural Association pavilion in Kuwait, launched at and now installed for a short time for public viewing in the Promenade Mall.

The purpose of pace’s involvement in the programme was threefold: to share our expertise with others, in a collaborative team working environment; to give staff members an opportunity to learn in the same way from others, and to build a true collaborative working mind set here at Pace.

We think it worked. And we are making our mark as a creative and innovative force in architecture in Kuwait and the region.
