International team successfully delivers our project in Uzbekistan

Tashkent City has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank in support of investments for rehabilitation and modernization the sewerage system of the city of Tashkent. This is known as the Tashkent Sewerage Project and involves:

  • Wastewater treatment improvement
  • Wastewater collection improvement
  • Wastewater quality monitoring
  • Infrastructure maintenance equipment
  • Consultancy services
  • Project Management Unit

The objectives of the project are to:

  • Improve the environmental and health condition of the city
  • Enhance effectiveness of sewerage systems facilities
  • Increase energy efficiency of wastewater
  • Treatment equipment
  • Reduce operational and maintenance costs
  • Ensure the stable and reliable functioning of urban sewerage system

These objectives will be achieved through following project outputs:

  • Rehabilitation of wastewater
  • Treatment infrastructure
  • Limited expansion of the sewerage network
  • Provision of wastewater
  • Quality monitoring equipment, and acquisition of infrastructure maintenance equipment

This project in Tashkent represents just one of the ways Pace is working with Development Funds and other International agencies to improve the quality of life in areas desperately in need.
