Project Description:

The Arab Organizations Building houses four major Arab organizations: The Arab Fund for Social & Economic Development, the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries, Inter-Arab Investment Guarantee Corporation and Arab Maritime Petroleum Transport Company. The building, acclaimed as both an aesthetic and technical masterpiece, is comprised of 10 floors and 2 basements. The ground and first floor are multi-use spaces shared by the four organizations. The upper floors are designed for use as office space and surround an air-conditioned naturally lit atrium. The central atrium is enclosed by a majestic 8 storey mashrabia. A vast suspended glass wall spanning 5 floors is one of the main elevation features. Professional craftsmen from Morocco, Syria and Egypt were brought in to produce intricate details for this project. It stands as a tribute to the quality of Arab design.
